How to receive salvation
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)
You cannot earn salvation, because it is God's gift to man. Romans 6:23 says the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. A gift is received, not worked for.
Romans 10:9 shows us how. Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. That is more than repeating words. It is turning from your old way and giving your life to Him.
If you are ready, you can do that right now. Pray the prayer below from your heart. Then tell someone. We would be glad to hear from you and to help you take your next steps.
Say it simply
Believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confess Him as your Lord. Salvation is yours to receive today.
Pray this prayer
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need You. I believe You died for my sins, You were buried, and God raised You from the dead. I turn from my old life. I confess You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
